1st - Iron Mtn Road and the famous one-lane granite tunnels constructed in 1933, specifically engineered to frame distant views of Mount Rushmore and the
unique Pigtail Bridges. These spiral-shaped wooden bridges are designed to allow for rapid elevation changes, creating a scenic, twisty drive with rapid elevation changes. 2nd - Mt Rushmore is great to view in mornings. You will be guided throughout the Monument; visiting the Artist's Studio, the Avenue of Flags and the Presidential Trail. You will have time to explore on your own. (1.5 hours) 3rd - Sylvan Lake which lives peacefully amidst the granite spires of Custer State Park . . .we stop for photo ops . . . and a Picnic Lunch. 4th - Needles Eye Tunnel - The most famous of the tunnels and the narrowest. 5th + Crazy Horse is huge . . . not just the mountain carving but also the 14,000 pieces of art at the Indian Museum of North America.
