This 3-hour journey captures the absolute highlights of the Peter Norbeck National Scenic Byway, a route celebrated for its engineering marvels and stunning Black Hills scenery.  
This Journey Highlights include: 
  •  Needles Highway (SD-87): Famous for its granite pillars and the iconic Needle’s Eye rock formation. You’ll navigate tight turns and the narrow Iron Creek Tunnel
  • Iron Mountain Road (US-16A): This stretch is home to the famous pigtail bridges—corkscrew structures designed to drop elevation quickly—and three tunnels that perfectly frame Mount Rushmore in the distance.
