  • Iron Mtn Road - With its pigtail bridges and one way tunnels looking back at Mt Rushmore. Stopping for photo ops . . . just stand and shoot.
  • ​​​Mt Rushmore - And in order to get the best lighting for photos, our first stop is at mighty Mount Rushmore. Here to spend some time with the epic figures of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln as you stroll along the Presidential Trail that offers the closest access to this iconic sculpture. Includes: movie, museum and gift shop. ​
  • Crazy Horse Memorial - Learn the story behind the world’s largest, still-in-progress mountain sculpture. The memorial includes the Indian Museum of North America, the Native American Cultural Center, the sculptor’s studio, orientation center and theaters. Many Native American artists and craftspeople work at the memorial* and welcome the chance to share how their culture influences their art. (*Native American Dancers June-Sept)​​​​​
  • Chapel in the Hills - Next, learn the history of some enterprising Westerners during a visit to the Chapel in the Hills (bottom left).
    • This Chapel was built in 1969 as the home for the Lutheran Vespers radio ministry. 
    • Today, visitors from all around the world find the chapel to be a place of beauty and inspiration.​Its an exact reproduction of the famous Borgund Stavkirke of Laerdal, Norway ​(c. 1180) (bottom right).
